Another great book in an incredible series. Rosenberg maintains the image of the characters, and keeps with the spirit and soul of the books. A fitting end to a truly exciting hero in Karl Kullinane. This, along with the three previous entries, are must reads for all fantasy fans

The end of one era, the beginning of another...

This book told of the demise of one of the best characters in this genre's history. I still haven't forgiven the author for it. Speaking as one who was with this series from the beginning, I must insist you start with the first book ("The Sleeping Dragon"). "The Heir Apparent" also tells of the coming of age of another main character, while continuing to build on established characters. In context, this story is the perfect "swan song" for the character who has grown so much as a warrior, a leader and a person. To be honest, I couldn't tell you what the book would be like read out of context. All I *can* say is...If you've never read any of Mr. Rosenberg's "Guardians of the Flame" series, you better get crackin'! Half the fun/agony is waiting for the next one!

The 5th book in the Guardians of the Flame series. It is an awesome story. This copy I got from Amazon was in great condition. Almost no wear. I would definitely buy from them again.

Mad Money Journey: A Financial Adventure by Mehrab Irani is a superb insight on managing your money in a best possible manner, told in a quite interesting manner. The book has been published by Jaico Books under the genre Business/ Fiction. Mehrab Irani is a well know author for his earlier book 10 Commandments for Financial Freedom.

Money has a different meaning for different persons. Even in the business world different industrialists look at money management part in their own style. But in reality there is so much about money and so little known. This business adventure in fiction story form has John Pinto who is a successful doctor residing in Mumbai. Another prominent character in Mad Money Journey: A Financial Adventure by Mehrab Irani is Vijay Desai, who is a childhood friend of John Pinto and appears to help him whenever life puts him into dire straits. Both studied in the same school but had their own perception about education, learning and knowledge. On one hand Pinto had one straight mission during his school days - to get excellent marks in tests and examinations. On the other hand Desai's vision about studies was different. He was least bothered about marks. His motto was to get real life learning from education. Gradually Desai leaves his house due to a rift with his father on not getting good marks in studies.

Gradually on the basis of excellent marks and being a topper, Pinto gets admission in one of the top medical schools and comes out in bright colors after completing his medical studies and thus becomes a successful doctor, opening his own clinic. He gets married, earns money, owns his own apartment in one of the posh colonies, acquires a good car and becomes successful in his life. But gradually he finds himself as unsuccessful in his professional and personal life by mismanaging his financials and money and finally getting into a huge debt. That is where the story in Mad Money Journey: A Financial Adventure by Mehrab Irani takes a steep turn.

Pinto decides to end his life and goes for suicide. That is when, once more in his life, the two old childhood friends meet again. Pinto is brought to hospital by none other than Desai when he got collapsed on the road. And that is when a new journey of life begins for Pinto when Desai, who has become a most successful international industrialist and mentor, coach, guide to many of his peers. Desai meets Pinto in the hospital while he was undergoing treatment to recover, and gets to know the crux of pains of his life. He understands that Pinto has not been able to manage his money and thus has reached to this state of his life even after being so successful. Overall the story of Mad Money Journey: A Financial Adventure by Mehrab Irani is very interesting.

The fact of life is that the guy who always topped in school, reached to the dead end of his life and the guy for whom marks were never a priority becomes a billionaire and successful entrepreneur. On finding the real problem of Pinto, Desai sponsors a world tour for him where he would be going to different nations, meeting various people belonging to various streams of life and learning a unique lesson about money from each of them. Each of the assigned person in each country, has been selected and planned by Desai.

Overall an interesting learning about money and financials during roaming around different corners of the world and meeting various people who became learned from the lessons from life.

Fast paced, very interesting, valuable financial information!

This is one of those books that defy categorization. Whilst it is ostensibly a book on finance, it is actually much more. There is a great deal of spiritual wisdom within the pages of this book. The author talks about money from a point of view that I have never seen in any other book on finance: that the lack of money stops people from following their real dreams and ambitions in life.

Other books on finance just talk about money as a goal in itself, whereas this book talks about how just making or having a lot of money is not enough. A holistic view of life is important. Money can be an enabler (if you have understand it and have enough), or a constraint (if you don't have enough) for what you wish to achieve in the world. By understanding the dynamics of money, you can have plenty of it in your life - as much as you wish to have. It is interesting, is it not, that people scrabble for money as if it is a scarce resource, while in reality, money is unlimited: governments just have to print more! In many cases, they don't even have to waste paper printing it, they just make up imaginary money "in the system" using fancy terms such as "injecting liquidity".

This book is not a manual, so if you're looking for a step by step course in how to grow rich, this is not the book for you. That said, any investor who has been successful over the long term will tell you this: investing is more about psychology than about "systems" and tricks. This book teaches the reader, by way of a fictitious person's journey, very valuable concepts in understanding the principles of money. By applying these principles, you will learn how to create more and keep more of it in your life.

Consider this book as training in wealth psychology. Well worth reading; I just finished it and already bought several copies as gifts for friends. Highly recommended.

Poorly written

This book is suitable for those who are semi literate. The language is insipid and there are many glaring inconsistencies. The hero (or anti hero) is always eating one delicious meal every few pages. When you read a good book you feel so good. This book feels like a B grade movie. I was surprised to discover that Ratan Tata had given his stamp of approval. The correct book to read is THE RICHEST MAN IN BABYLON. Maybe the author should also read it.

Well, I've heard the lecture and read the book. It's not a phenomenon. It's an invitation made by a big-hearted man, who has succeeded in life and is now calling others to follow in his foot-steps. It's an honest and enthusiastic cry and I find it charming.

I have recently been reading a lot of success, inspiration, and self-help books. I don't always choose what I read, since I sometimes get my books from the�Saloona�readers' club. Unfortunately, I don't have the patience to read most of them. I don't disregard the writers, who truly believe that something in their approach or their method can change others' lives. They believe and write thick books about it, when in fact, they could have written the same things using just half of the volume.
This time it's different.�The List�is different. It's not a self-help book, but a call for action. A very specific and pinpointed kind of motivation. Not the blabbering kind, but the sharp call to get up and start doing, along with practical advice on how to do things in the most effective way. It's a call that comes from a big heart and without even a hint of condescendence. Yuval Abramovitz tells, with a endearing honesty about his weaknesses, his failures and yes, about his successes too. Modesty and honesty are the two key words that make this book so different from the other books on the self-help shelf.

What inspired you to write The List?
In 2010 I started a blog named�The List. I published ten things I wanted to accomplish within four hundred days (have a toned 'six-pack' belly; interview Oprah Winfrey; tour Australia without spending as much as a dollar; rehabilitate a homeless person and more). Thanks to social networks, the world had responded overnight.�

I got the email address of one of Oprah's producers. Personal trainers and gyms offered me their services for free. Dozens of Australians offered their hospitality and I received numerous proposals for promoting my list and improving my life.�

The blog inspired thousands of people to publish their lists on the internet. While checking items off my personal list, I discovered that the real gain was the insights I accumulated regarding what makes certain people realize their dreams, and what prevents others from doing so.�

It is my feeling that in writing�The List�I have cracked the code for writing an effective list. This book is not a spiritual book, but a practical guide that will lead you, one step after the other, to creating a list that will effectively help you achieve your life's goals.

Achieving your dreams is NOT followed by a "Ye... Right!" cynical replay anymore.

Following this book method your dreams are reachable to you the same as your smartphone is reachable to you (-:
It's there! just reach and take it!

I used this book (in another language version of it).
The results?
I am 40 years old. My first 39 was full of excuses why I am failing.
In the last year, since I read and implemented the book method, look what happen:
- my relationship with my wife is blooming,
- I spend more than 20 hours playing with my kids during week days,
- I saving so much money!
- because I stopped working in a job I hate, and started doing what I love,
- ...I am not yet as fit as I want (I sill need to have some excuses for failure, right :-)

All above were in my list.
and in a year time they came true!

Yuval isn't the first to suggest you write your dreams in an organized list but he is the first to put it into such a succinct, readable system. He provides plenty of life stories and practical suggestions for how to make your list become a successful life experience. The directed work at home helps you create a list that is at first lofty and then reachable. He goes step by step so even the most disorganized of us can focus.
I love his idea of shouting your dreams out to the world in order to find allies and supporters. It reminds of the "it takes a village" way of thinking. We each have something we need and we have something to give others.
This book is easy to read, in fact, you might complete it in one sitting. You'll feel capable of making your dreams become a reality. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to become a better self.

First published in 1977, the second volume of Climate: Present, Past�and Future covers parts�3 and�4 of Professor Hubert Lamb’s seminal and pioneering study of climatology. Part 3 provides a survey of evidence of types of climates over the last million years, and of methods of dating that evidence. From the last ice age to the present our knowledge of the succession of climates is summarized, indicating prevailing temperatures, rainfalls, wind and ocean current patterns where possible.

Part�4 considers events during the fifteen years prior to the book’s initial publication, leading on to the problems of�estimating the most probable future course of climatic development, and the influence of Man’s activities on climate.
