Great Kid's Book!

I really enjoyed this book. I thought it was a cute story. It shows kids what it's like to be greedy and grumpy, and that it is not fun to be like that and it doesn't pay to take things from other people if it is not yours. It also shows that when you work hard at something and share it with others, you will feel good about yourself. It helps kids realize the true meaning of love and that when your happy life is much more enjoyable. I think it's a great book for kids to learn from! I would recommend this book for your kids!!

I really enjoyed this book. I thought it was a cute story. The Grumpy Easter Bunny

ISBN 0816775907 - Printed in Singapore. "Publishers Weekly" Best-Seller. Easter is celebrated in a lot of different ways - Christian, pagan, and the "hey, free candy!" set. I am just not able to fit this book into ANY of those groups.

The bunnies spend all year making treats to hide for others on Easter, as the "messengers of Spring." Hopper doesn't see the value in that. What he sees is that he works hard and doesn't get to have the treats, so he takes them home and makes himself sick eating them. In the morning, Hopper finds a group of kittens who are willing to share the single treat they've found and between their example and his own stomachache, Hopper doesn't feel well at all. He feels even worse when Sir Byron, the Great Hare, asks him why he's neglected his job and then Sir Byron gives the kittens the chance to hide Hopper's treats as honorary Easter Bunnies. Hopper sees the wonder and joy of Easter morning firsthand and never again neglects his duties.

This is a fairly small book, a good size for tucking in your purse or diaper bag. The pages are sturdy board, which can take some rough handling, and they're glossy, so they wipe clean easily. The text, by Justine Korman, is too wordy for the usual board book audience of 0-3 year olds and the font is way too small for beginning readers. There isn't anything that I recognize as a particularly Easter message. Those are generally rebirth, renewal, new life - and none of those are here. At best, there's a message about being greedy versus sharing. Lucinda McQueen's illustrations are mostly pastel, the exceptions being the periodic red wheelbarrow and Sir Byron's red vest. This makes them, for me, very boring and not especially attractive. Not ugly, or bad, just boring.

kind of fizzled out

I have a love hate relationship with this series. I keep all the books so I have the entire series but if I didn't I don't know that I would keep this as a stand alone book.

It sort of fizzled out. It seemed like I might have missed a few chapters but then you realize nope it just ends that abruptly. I liked that there was minimal Nicky time. He's my least favorite character. I wish there had been more time with the Tennessee pack. I think it would have been cool if they had relocated. Connor never came off as an alpha male to me and what is a man who tries to act like an alpha but isn't one? A bully.

The story started off strong and kept my interest for a while but then just kind of fizzled out.

Omg this book is so amazing! Best one yet and that is saying something since this series is so good!
Connor literally gets knocked into his mate through an unfortunate accident. And who is his blood match??? None other then the packs biggest enemy, Jeremy Mother Effing Tate! Smh...of all people...tthis man has done and orchestrated some of the most vile things against the pack. And now he has Marco's hearts blood in him, can he keep his wolf at bay?
Connor will stop at nothing to protect his mate even if that means going against the whole pack. As Jeremy gets his memory back, the more clear things become, the more confusing they also become.
With new revelations that come to light about his father, will anyone be able to accept him, even himself?
Adored this book and love Shannon West! She has truly outdone herself with this one!!!

I love paranormal books so was happy to receive this book to read and review, I was not disappointed!! Bad Wolf can be read as a standalone or as part of the Dark Hollow Wolf Pack series.
Connor is a gamma wolf with no intentions of being a leader in the close knit group of the Dark Hollow pack that is lead by his brother. When Connor gets struck with the blood match lust to claim a mate his match lies in Jeremy Tate the leader of their enemies the Hunters. The pack is thrown into chaos as Jeremy has always seen the wolves as abominations and had recently tried to kill Marco a pack member. With no intention of giving up Jeremy, Connor tries to figure out a way to keep his mate and not leave the pack, all he knows is that Jeremy does not fit in with the pack and he himself can not live without Jeremy!!!
I really liked the story of Connor and Jeremy and their love for each other while trying to deal with past events that look set to destroy their match. I liked the twists in the plot of this book they kept me enthralled until the end. I am certainly going to take a look at the other books in this series so I can read about the other characters mentioned in this book.

Good overview of topic areas

I'm in the process of learning about information security and have been quite overwhelmed with what is available. This book provides a shorter overview of the topic areas so I can see the high level view. It is a great jumping off point to other longer, more technical books on the subject. It appears to be a good overview for the CISSP exam also, although I am a number of years off from qualifying for that exam.

I absolutely LOVE Dummies books for studying

I absolutely LOVE Dummies books for studying. They deliver pertinent information in a light and easily absorbable way. There are undoubtedly more technical study guides that go into greater depth, but that's not what a Dummies book is for. This book covers the essentials from all of the necessary study domains to help prepare you for the CISSP exam. Is it the ONLY book you should use? NO! But it's the one that will almost certainly ensure that the basics of all the concepts covered will be absorbed, learned, and retained. At least that's how it works for me!
