About the Author
Sam Bracken rose up against impossible odds to live the American dream. He and his wife Kim live happily in the Rocky Mountains with their four children. Thanks to a love of sports and a competitive spirit, he parlayed those skills into a career as an executive with the world’s largest leadership training organization, FranklinCovey. After leaving FranklinCovey in early 2016, Sam became the VP of Business Development for Garff Enterprises - a multi billion dollar automotive group. He travels all over the world speaking on change, leadership and excellence. Sam attained his MBA from the Marriott School of Management and graduated Georgia Tech with honors. A member of the National Speakers Association, he motivates people toward their highest goals.
William Alexander "Bill" Curry is a retired American football coach and former player. Most recently he was the head coach at Georgia State University, which began competing in college football in 2010. Curry formerly worked as a football analyst for ESPN. Previously, Curry served as the head football coach at the Georgia Tech (1980–1986), the University of Alabama (1987–1989), and the University of Kentucky (1990–1996). He played football at Georgia Tech (1962–1964) and then played for ten seasons in the National Football League with four different teams: the Green Bay Packers (1965–1966), the Baltimore Colts (1967–1972), the Houston Oilers (1973), and the Los Angeles Rams (1974).

Developing future leaders for tomorrow's success.

I have read or reviewed hundreds of leadership books and articles, in addition to teaching thousands of police and other public safety personnel over the past 30 years. In GUTs, Sam has not only effectively captured the essence of what a potential leader's internal ingredient must be, but skillfully described to readers "how to climb that mountain" step-by-step. His powerful message is only matched by the amazing life struggles he experienced and his reaction to those events which removes everyone else's excuses from becoming the best person possible. This is the perfect combination I have not seen in any other book.
